Seventy-nine years ago from February 4, 1928, the Jayhawkers who first crossed Death Valley’s wastes reached Del Valle ranch house. Their descendants, holding a reunion there, are (left to right) Mrs Margaret Carter, Henry Doty, Chester Doty, Mrs. Guilfoyle, Mrs Florence Doty, Frank Doty, EW Mecum, Mrs Emma O Street, William A. Wiley, Mrs Donald Cole. The children are Alice and Dorothy Wright and Don Cole.
