1925 – Florence Van de Kamp and a friend in front of the Tam O’Shanter with a sign advertising potato chips, originally called Saratoga Chips. A chips stand in downtown L.A. was the first Frank and Van de Kamp families’ joint endeavor. Its success led to the creation of the Tam, where we continue to make potato chips ‘Fresh Daily’
