America’s Birdwomen Gather At Los Angeles For Start Of First National Women’s Air Derby
With famous girl fliers from all over the United States assembled here for the start of the First National Women’s Air Derby from Clover Field, Santa Monica, to Cleveland, August 18, 1929, Los Angeles unique Breakfast Club entertains the visiting feminine celebrities with an ‘aviation breakfast’ as the time draws near for the start of the spectacular speed classic in which only women may participate.
